A Crown - Power - History: Nuremberg at A Glance

Museen der Stadt Nürnberg, Kunstsammlungen

Emperor Charles IV and his son Sigismund bestowed splendor and status to Nuremberg through the many privileges they awarded the Free Imperial City and their visits there. From 1424, the "secret capital" of the empire guarded the Imperial Insignia.

With media guides in 9 languages, the City Museum at Fembo House will bring 1000 years of Nuremberg history to life in only 30 minutes. A newly designed exhibition will focus on faithful reproductions of the crown, scepter and orb.
