The largest “Feuerzangenbowle” in the world
In Nuremberg, a special recipe of the legendary punch has been concocted for the largest “Feuerzangenbowle” in the world. One-of-a-kind specially-constructed “punch bowls”, which are 2.5 meters wide and 3.4 meters high, can contain up to 9,000 liters of this intoxicating treat. It takes 48 hours and 40 kWh of electricity to warm the punch to the proper temperature. The question of how to keep 9,000 liters of beverage at a steady temperature of 70 degrees with ambient temperatures at freezing and below was solved together with the professionals at Stiebel Eltron.
The “Feuerzangenbowle Village”, with its six huts offering food and drink, is located below the Fleischbrücke, next to the Christmas Market. Here, visitors of all generations can have a bite to eat and enjoy 9,000 liters of nostalgia.
