Original Regional - Delicious Local Treats

Whether with family or friends, you can bide awhile in a calm Christmas atmosphere at the booths of "Original Regional", which are nestled near the Church of St. Sebald, just across from the Historical City Hall.

Enjoy local specialties – Preserve regional culture – Boost traditional handicrafts

Every year during the time of Christkindlesmarkt (except for Christmas Eve, when our booths are not open), you’ll find specially selected local specialties and traditional handicrafts from Franconia and the Upper Palatinate at the lovingly decorated Original Regional stands.

Discover specialty mulled wines, herbal teas, fine schnapps and brandies, fruit spreads made from local produce, traditional sausages made from lamb and beef and smoked pork products, pralines, handmade wool items, all-natural handmade soap, honey, beeswax products and much more.

It’s not only the products that come exclusively from the region! The Original Regional booths are decorated with garlands of licorice harvested from gardens in Bamberg and lit with hand-blown glass bulbs from Sonneberg. You’ll be amazed by the variety our region has to offer!
